Mumbai Indians (MI) defeated Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Eliminator of IPL 2023. MI won the match by a whooping margin of 81 runs and now are all set to play Qualifier 2 against Gujarat Titans (GT) on 26th May (*Friday).
LSG had a pretty good start to their run chase of 183 runs as they scored 54 runs in the first 6 overs for the loss of 2 wickets. Akash Madhwal, the right-arm pacer proved to be the game changer, in the 10th over he got two massive wickets of Ayush Badoni & Nicholas Pooran which changed the complexion of the match as LSG were reduced to 74-5.

LSG’s dashing batter Marcus Stoinis was involved in a huge collision with Deepak Hooda due to which Marcus Stoinis was run out at the striker’s end. There were 3 run-outs in LSG’s innings that which is not acceptable in modern cricket.
Akash Madhwal was the destroyer in chief who registered incredible figures as he took 5 wickets and conceded only 5 runs in his 3.3 overs. LSG’s management would be fumed up as the batters didn’t put up a fight in a crunch match.
