The ongoing match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League 2023 saw Delhi Capitals opener David Warner and Phil Salt almost run away with the game as the duo started things hot in the power play smashing the opposition bowlers all around the park to give their team a nice platform.

David Warner and Phil Salt put up a stunning 69 runs partnership for the first wicket in 6.2 overs as the duo kept hitting the bowlers at every possible occasion giving Punjab fans a massive scare. However, before Phil Salt could get going himself the batter was dismissed by Punjab Kings’ Harpreet Brar who provided his team with the much-needed breakthrough by dismissing Salt on 21 off 17 deliveries.

Following Phil Salt’s dismissal it seemed like David Warner would continue to carry the innings for his team as the batter registered his 60th half-century in his Indian Premier League career but Harpreet Brar managed to find the DC skipper plumb in front of the stumps to derail Delhi’s momentum.

Bowling to Phil Salt in the 7th over of the contest, Harpreet Brar pitched in a brilliant touch short of full-length delivery as Salt tried to play the ball away but missed the delivery as the ball beat his bat and rattled onto the stumps providing Punjab with the wicket that started things off for their side.
