Gujarat Titans (GT) batter Sai Sudharsan opened up about his side’s brilliant campaign in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. He said that they have been stealing games from the opposition and he’s very happy to contribute to the team. 

Gujarat Titans are having a brilliant campaign in the ongoing IPL 2023. They have carried the confidence from the last year and have produced some enthralling performances this season. They have outshined almost every team and are looking like hot favorites to win the title again.

Gujarat Titans have become the first team to qualify for the playoffs. They recently thumped Sunrisers Hyderabad to book their berth and are certain to finish at the top of the points table in the league stage. They have won 9 out of their 13 games and have 18 points.

Sai Sudharsan has been one of the main contributors for them as he batted exceptionally well at the No.3 in the limited opportunities that he has got and has helped his side win. The southpaw has scored 223 runs from six matches at an average of 44.60 and a strike rate of 125.28 with two half-centuries and a top score of 62 not out to show for his efforts.

Sai Sudharsan said that he’s happy to contribute to the team which is doing well. He said that he has learned a lot from every game and he’s hoping that they continue the winning run in the final. Speaking in a video posted on GT’s Twitter account, he said: 

“I am very happy to contribute to the team, which is doing really well. We have been stealing situations from the opponents. Lot of learning from each and every game, each and every practice session. So, this run has been really good. Hopefully, we still continue the same run till the final.”

RCB vs GT: “We are practicing every day,” says Sai Sudharsan 

Sai Sudharsan further went on to say that they are putting in the hard yards every day. He also lauded the coaching staff for doing their job perfectly. He explained: 

“We are practicing every day. We are batting every day. The whole team is evolving every day. Even every player, who is not playing, they are getting a lot of practice time. So, they are always ready to go into the match. 

So, I think that is a key factor. Each and every support staff, starting from Ashu Pa to masseurs to side arm specialists, gives their best. Everyone gives their time for everyone. They have to plan and strategize for the game and a lot of other things.” 

Gujarat Titans will be next seen in action when they will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in their next game on Sunday (21st May).
