GT’s star batter Shubman Gill became the only second Indian batter to score more than 700+ runs in an IPL season after the legendary batter Virat Kohli. Shubman Gill has been the biggest positive for the side in IPL 2023.

Shubman Gill has scored 722 runs in 15 matches at an amazing average of 55.53 and a fantastic strike rate of 149.17, with 2 tons and 4 half-centuries.

In IPL 2016, Virat Kohli became the first Indian to achieve the feat as he scored 973 runs at an average of 81.08 and a fantastic strike rate of 152.03, with 4 tons and 7 half-centuries.

Meanwhile, David Warner, Kane Williamson, Faf du Plessis, Chris Gayle, Mike Hussey and Jos Buttler are the overseas players who have scored over 700 runs in an IPL season.
