IND vs WI Head to Head Records In Tests – 1st Test, India Tour Of West Indies 2023. India and West Indies go head to in the IND vs WI first Test in Dominica starting from July 12. This also kickstarts the WTC 2023-25 cycle for both teams. The first Test starts from 7.30 IST which is 10 am local time.

The Test series will witness 2 matches, the ODI series will see 3 games, and the T20I series will consist of 5 matches with the series ending on August 13. The first Test will be played in Dominica and the second in Trinidad. The first two ODIs will be played in Barbados and the third in Trinidad.

Both teams then play a five-match IND vs WI T20I series. The first two matches will be played in Trinidad, the next two in Guyana, and the final game in Lauderhill, Florida.

India and West Indies last played a Test series with each other in August 2019, when India whitewashed the hosts 2-0 in the series. They will be seeking another series away from home. Heading into the first Test, India are the number one-ranked ICC Test team while Windies are placed eighth.

Both teams have played 98 Test matches to date with India winning 22 matches while the Windies thirty. The second test in Trinidad will be the 100th between both teams. Both teams share a great cricketing history and rivalry as well.

West Indies has announced their Test squad for the upcoming series against India. West Indies have inducted two uncapped batsmen Kirk McKenzie and Alick Athanaze, who showed wonderful batting form for West Indies A team earlier. Star all-rounder Rahkeem Cornwall was also recalled into the squad after almost two years. Kraii Brathwaite will lead the team with Jason Holder and Alzarri Joseph his two most experienced bowlers in the side. Veteran pacer Kemar Roach is also a part of the squad.

India have named a full-strength Test squad as well. Rohit Sharma will lead the side with Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane as the experienced batters. Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Axar Patel make up the spinning all-rounders. Mohammed Shami has been rested for the series. Mohammed Siraj, Shardul Thakur, Navdeep Saini, Jaydev Unadkat, and Mukesh Kumar make up the pace attack.
