West Indies bowler Akeal Hosein gave a brilliant start to his team while defending the modest target of 150 runs against India in the ongoing first T20I at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad. The left-arm spinner drew the first blood for his team and removed Indian opener Shubman Gill.
Akeal Hosein was given the responsibility to bowl the first over and after keeping things quiet in the first over, where he gave away just 3 runs, the left-arm spinner didn’t take much time to do the damage in his second over for the day in the ongoing first T20I.
Akeal Hosein removed Shubman Gill with a brilliant delivery on the second ball. He bowled a slower delivery that pitched around off to which the batter came down the wicket to play inside-out over the covers. But the ball spun away and went past his outside edge to miss it. Keeper Nicholas Pooran effected the stunning to send the right-hander packing for 3 runs.
After taking the wicket, Akeal Hosein’s celebration caught the attention of many. The left-arm spinner pulled out the shut-the-noise celebration, gesturing towards the crowd.
